The Institute of Physics provides bursaries to undergraduate students who intend to study physics at university, with the objective of increasing participation in physics. Bursaries are available to students entering their degree course in 2009/10. Participating university physics departments are given a quota of bursaries to award to students on behalf of the Institute. The bursaries are worth £3000 over the duration of a bachelor's degree and £4000 over the duration of an MPhys/MSci degree. The scheme is restricted to those entering accredited degree programmes and to UK and Irish nationals.
